John Donnelly

John Donnelly is a retired Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Chase and was an Advisor to the Company’s senior leadership team on talent, development and other workforce matters from 2018 to 2021. From 2009 until 2018, John was Executive Vice President, head of Human Resources, for JPMorgan Chase and a member of the company’s Operating Committee.

Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in January 2009, John was head of Human Resources for Citigroup. He was also a member of Citi’s Senior Leadership group from 2000 to 2009. From 1997 to 2000, he was head of Human Resources for Salomon Smith Barney and a member of the Operating Committee. John joined Smith Barney in 1978 and became head of Human Resources of the firm in 1994.

John is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council. He is Chairman of the Board of Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a charitable organization that provides trained guide dogs for visually impaired individuals. He serves on the board of Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families. He is on the Board of CareerWise, New York, a non-profit that enhances paths to rewarding careers for young adults. He is an advisor to Financial Soundings, a Fintech savings for retirement platform. He is on the Board of Cowffee, an upstate New York cold brew nutritional drink. John lives in Rye, New York, and spends winters in Jupiter, Florida with his wife, Nancy.
