Resources for CDI Apprentice Training

For students who were hired August – September, there is a make-up CDI Phase I training that is available on Fridays, on top of working Monday – Thursday! The training will consist of eight 90 minute Friday afternoon sessions from 3:30 – 5:00 PM on Zoom. The dates are the following:

October 1: Welcome & Orientation + Professional Mindset
October 8: Growth Mindset + CWNY Career Ready Competencies
October 15: Time Management + Code Meshing
October 22: Customer Service + Feedback
October 29: Elevator Pitch + Introduce Microsoft Office Overview
November 5: Microsoft Office Overview
November 12: Communication + Email Communication Skills
November 19: Bank Account Basics + Final Reflections

Apprentices will receive a stipend for their participation. Details of requirements were sent to apprentices during the week of September 20th. 

CDI LATENESS POLICY

Apprentices should communicate any lateness to their facilitator. Failure to communicate or consistent lateness will result in deductions from their stipend or receiving no stipend. Below is the lateness policy for CDI Training.

Attendance Policy:

  1. You have 1 emergency day throughout the program.
  2. For every three times you are late or have to leave early (either to start or from break) it will be marked as 1/2 day absence.
  3. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late or leave 30 minutes early from a session, that will automatically count as a 1/2 day absence.
  4. Two, 1/2 day absences count as 1 emergency day.
  5. If you exceed the 1 allotted emergency day, you can continue in the CWNY program at the facilitator’s discretion, but will NOT earn a stipend.
  6. Your attendance will be tracked and shared by your facilitator.
