Prior to joining CareerWise New York, Becca served in various program management and research roles in higher education, non-profits, and faith-based organizations. She most recently served as the Assistant Director of Leadership & Innovation at NYU Steinhardt where she was responsible for building and scaling graduate degree programs, community engagement projects, and leadership development opportunities in New York City and at NYU’s global sites.
Becca‘s research has been focused on youth apprenticeship models in the US and abroad. Anderson and Lisette Nieves, an international study of promising models and policy considerations to improve work and learning outcomes for young people, and has presented on work-based learning research in the UK and Belgium. Becca is completing her doctoral studies at NYU in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Her dissertation explores the experiences and intersectional identities of young women in modern youth apprenticeship models, distilling key services and supports provided by intermediary nonprofits that expand career and postsecondary pathways.
